Guy Carl Covell was born
on the old farm in Scott Township on November 23, 1885 and received
his education from attending the common schools of that township.
He lived on the old home farm with his mother Maria E. Covell, until
her death December 28, 1937. After the death of his mother he
purchased the old home farm from the heirs of William S. and Maria
E. Covell, and lived there until his death. He was a successful
farmer and business man and has worked several years as a carpenter
and paper hanger. He never married.
